Oregon Farm Table and Vintage Furniture Rentals!
I hope everyone had a great 4th! We spent ours packing and prepping for Oregon, brought up a big vintage bingo ball spinner to add to the collection as well as an amazing antique table that has two leaves and stretches out to be almost 9ft long!
Check out pictures from our inventory on our Facebook page, and if you like what you see and want to follow us for more updates feel free to "like" us!

Greetings from a busy lady!
The past few months have been chock full of big changes! In addition to wedding design and day of coordination we've added reclaimed wood farm tables and benches as well as vintage furniture rentals to our repertoire! Our event design and styling as well as DOC services will be available in California and Oregon, but our rentals are only based out of Oregon (for now!).
Here are a few sneak peeks of our tables and benches, my favorite couch (!) and a photo wall from a photo shoot we recently had. Final and additional pics from the shoot will be available soon. If you have any questions or an Oregon event coming up where you want to rent some of our beautiful hand crafted tables and benches just let us know! Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook (found on the sidebar of the blog) for the latest updates!
If you're looking for an amazing Oregon based photographer ours is Tara Leigh, check out her site here!

Frugal Friday: Frugal Moving Tips
Moving costs got you down? Well, A & I have found some great ways to save you some rent money!
First: boxes. Don't pay for them! Cruise behind your local liquor store and scoop up as many as you can, but watch out for those pesky transient leavings!
Movers: Why pay for movers when you have parents who for some strange reason actually like helping you do people's most loathed activity. Repeatedly...and a lot.
Storage: Have too much junk and realize that you can't in
good conscience give the Goodwill anymore single shoes or broken coat racks? Those parents have a garage don't they?!
Lastly: Free advice. Have a good sense of humor, because if you
don't...you may lose it in front of those nice parents and start screaming about Rush Limbaugh or something weird.

Sorry for no Frugal Friday!
We've been doing this:
Non stop since Thursday so didn't get our Frugal Friday in gear. Our new place is adorable though and you can see pics of our old place (much less adorable) on our flickr link, to the right on our blog page, if you're so inclined!
Have so many projects and news to share as soon as we're less crazed from the move!

Frugal Friday: The Best Things In Life Are Free
I hope this doesn't feel patronizing, but I've got the most Frugal Friday of all: The Great Outdoors! Hopefully you're enjoying the little heat wave we've had this week and get a chance to actually go outside and enjoy it. I've watched it through the shop windows with envy each day and can't wait to actually go outside and feel the sun on my Vitamin D
deficient skin!
If you need to work a little shopping into your weekend, at least do it frugally: Addison Endpapers in Oakland is having a studio sale, the Alameda Antique Fair is this Sunday and Borders' across the nation are closing and having sales at a store near you!

Frugal Friday: Shopping for Japan Relief Aid!
I love it when my adoration for shopping and good deals can be combined with helping someone other than myself! Today is that day, Forever21.com is giving 100% of what's spent on their website towards relief efforts in Japan! You can get some cute Spring fashions while helping the many affected by the Tsunami and Earthquakes in Japan.
Living Social is also offering a special where you can donate $5 towards relief efforts and they will double it.

Tips from Lonny on getting good ETSY
Remember Domino magazine? I do, painfully, and like it was just yesterday. Since they became defunct some of the amazing creative wonders created Lonny, an online magazine and also the Lonny Blog. The other day they had some great tips on finding vintage treasures on ETSY. Here's their post:
"The vintage-Etsy search we began for our March/April story “Time-Tested Style” yielded such incredible finds that we found ourselves still scouring the site even after the issue had launched! Here is another round of our favorites, which offers a completely different look.

Frugal Friday!
Oh! It's the day I've been waiting for! Jeremys is having ANOTHER sale and this time it's 60% off of all shoes, men's apparel and wait for it...YES, ALL HOME DECOR! SO excited! This is a sale at both the Berkeley and San Francisco locations.
I plan on getting some gorgeous Anthropologie curtain panels and possibly a new duvet. I suppose that a pair of discounted Christian Louboutin pumps would just be icing on the cake!

Frugal Friday: HUGE Sale Weekend!!
I am slightly overwhelmed by all of the amazing sales this weekend! I may only have to pick a few, and it's hard!
The annual white elephant sale (I've never been!) is in Oakland both Saturday and Sunday, they recommend parking or Barting from Fruitvale then taking the free shuttle to the sale.
The Fremont Borders is slashing prices again on their store closing.
The Alameda Antique Fair is this Sunday, weather permitting.
Lastly Jeremys in the city and Berkeley are having a 50% off all apparel sale both Saturday and Sunday!
Hope you find lots of treasures!

Frugal Friday: Borders in Fremont Closing
Sad about the economic downfall of our country? Well, you can do your part by helping to stimulate economic growth through shopping! One company's efforts to tighten up and save their other stores can be to your benefit. The Fremont Borders (and others, check online) is closing and all of their store is 20%-40% off. Enjoy!

Frugal Friday: Frugal Crafting
A friend of mine who is planning her upcoming nuptials told me about this amazing crafting supply site the other week. I'm not just saying that because their main page features a cupcake tower with an "A" and "B" on the top either! Just browsing on their site for fun details for an event I found these cute rustic framed chalkboards on stands for only $3.99, these one or two inch clothes pins, 50, for $2.99 and these adorable milk bottles for 12 for $14.98 or $2.99 each. Couldn't you just see a cocktail in these little bottles with a striped straw popping out the top of it? I was honestly surprised by how inexpensive the things were on this site, along with the incredible variety of items. It's nice to see crafting sites that aren't...how to put this politely... for lack of a better word: tacky. There are of course some less than chic items, but it was easy to find things that I would actually use in my wedding/ event or one I was assisting to design. I'm excited to explore the site more and to see what other little treasures I can find, thanks for the tip J!

Frugal Friday: "Etsy On Sale"
I will admit that I am still something of an Etsy newbie when it comes to really navigating the site well. For A's Valentine's day gifts I spent far too much time entering a search then looking through hundreds of pages of results, literally, to find what I was looking for.
Today is exciting though because I found that there is a specific section that filters all of the Etsy
items that have recently been reduced or gone on sale! It's called, simply, "Etsy on Sale" and there are hundreds of pages to search through for just what you're looking for. Thankfully there are categories and price limits to help narrow down your search. Happy shopping!

Frugal Friday: Valentine's!
How is it already February?! Seriously, wasn't it just almost Christmas!? If you are way more ahead of your game then I you may be thinking about affordable Valentine's Day gift ideas. One of the easiest, and sometimes lazy or cheap looking, options are to make "Coupons" for your one and only. I have to say I have totally done them before, and I think that I did it in a cuteoriginal, non-cheesy way, but I actually found some printable/ customizable ones that look great! These ones are from Kind Over Matter which I just discovered for the first time! These are totally adorable and have a fun indie feel to them which you can claim all as your own if you're so inclined.
If you only need Valentine's cards, I found a great website that has all kinds of
vintage Valentine's Day cards available that you can print for free! There are so many hilarious puns (wow, you'll never hear me say that again!)
from the 30's/ 40's/ 50's that are so adorable but usually harder to find, and sometimes expensive, in their original forms. I think I may give this one to A....your perfect printable vintage Valentine can be found here. I'll post some of my own Valentine's I've been working on soon!

A and B Business Cards and Tags!
There are the new "A and B" tags and business cards I've just made. I think they turned out well, if I do so humbly say so myself. I may go a little darker on the orange and possibly use baker's twine (in the lovely blue tone of the ink) instead of the white twine. But, this is the first round and I've got to say that I am loving them!
What I especially love about these tags is that they can be used for so many different things. They could also be the business cards themselves if I wanted. For the wedding we did in September (YES still have yet to blog about it!!) they used tags like these for their place seatings or escort cards. I even love the idea of using them as a rustic save-the-date too! Couldn't you just see that?
