Frugal Friday: Frugal Crafting
A friend of mine who is planning her upcoming nuptials told me about this amazing crafting supply
site the other week. I'm not just saying that because their main page features a cupcake tower with an "A" and "B" on the top either! Just browsing on their site for fun details for an event I found these cute rustic framed chalkboards on stands for only $3.99, these one or two inch clothes pins, 50, for $2.99 and these adorable milk bottles for 12 for $14.98 or $2.99 each.
Couldn't you just see a cocktail in these little bottles with a striped straw popping out the top of
it? I was honestly surprised by how inexpensive the things were on this site, along with the incredible variety of items. It's nice to see crafting sites that aren't...how to put this politely... for lack of a better word: tacky. There are of course some less than chic items, but it was easy to find things that I would actually use in my wedding/ event or one I was assisting to design. I'm excited to explore the site more and to see what other little treasures I can find, thanks for the tip J!

A and B Business Cards and Tags!
What I especially love about these tags is that they can be used for so many different things. They could also be the business cards themselves if I wanted. For the wedding we did in September (YES still have yet to blog about it!!) they used tags like these for their place seatings or escort cards. I even love the idea of using them as a rustic save-the-date too! Couldn't you just see that?

Ever dreamed of sleeping in a palace?? Well, now you can!
everyone fled Versailles during the French Revolutionary war, this was vacated as well and it was never restored to its former glory, until now. The hotel will have 23 rooms and another big excitement is that hotel guests are rumored to gain access to the Versailles gardens which have been closed for over 300 years. Am I the only one having "Secret Garden" fantasies??I went to Versailles for the first time last summer and it simply blew me away. There was so much to see and everywhere you looked was more impressive and breathtaking then the last. From a design standpoint it was incredible to see vintage furniture and fabrics I've seen

replicated a thousand times, all in their original forms! The lush baroque upholstery, grand
chandeliers, massive gardens, enormous beds with feather plumed corners and all!
Versailles was my favorite place in Paris (technically just outside) and the whole time I thought about whether there could be a corner I could sneak off to and hide myself in so that I wouldn't have to leave when they closed for the night.
The idea of staying in a five-star hotel right next to the Palace, or having an event there (WEDDING AT VERSAILLES???!!!!) it does truly sound like a fairy tale!

A & B Do Wedding!
Sorry folks but I we'll be having to skip Frugal Friday this week because A and I are going to be happily busy (very busy!) this weekend while we help S & D with their big day! It's been a long time coming and we're so excited to see how all of the hard work, brainstorming, vintage touches and inspiration all come together. Also, of course to see the happy couple enter into marital bliss! We'll post pics soon!
